2023 Apartment Awards showcases WA’s best

In its third year, the WINconnect Apartment Awards for Excellence has once again demonstrated that there is a keen desire to showcase best quality across the 16 award categories.

Receiving 33 entries, despite challenging construction conditions, the entries will be judged over the forthcoming two weeks before the Awards event on 9 June.

CEO Samantha Reece stated that the AAA was delighted with the calibre of entries.

“Out of all the apartment projects completed in WA over the last 12 months, only a portion of these have entered the awards because of AAA’s judging standards,” Ms Reece said.

“If you have developed a project that does not stand out in terms of design, innovation or quality then you are not our ideal entrant.

“By rewarding those companies that continue to push the boundaries we can expect that the standards of design and construction in WA will only continue to improve and that aligns with AAA’s focus on best practice.”

But more importantly, the entries from Strata Companies and their respective Councils was also very impressive.

“Our entrants this year have demonstrated true leadership with dealing with building defects, community development and financial management and in their own right are all winners in our eyes,” Ms Reece said.

“When you see these exemplar Strata Councils showing such diligence, even in a voluntary capacity, it gives you hope that one day this will become the benchmark standard across the State.”
