City life is Gail's choice

When Gail Panopio was thinking about buying her first home - she went against the grain - and unlike her friends chose a CBD apartment rather than house and land in Baldivis or Ellenbrook.

Already working in the City, Gail knew that it was this lifestyle she was after, but her decision still made her feel slightly nervous.

"With the launch of Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square, Raine Square and Optus Stadium, Perth had so much to offer," Gail said.

"Having grown up in Rockingham, I didn't want to live on the outskirts and so a house and land package, like what my friends purchased, was just not my preference."

Having moved into her apartment two months ago, Gail stated that she was loving the City life.

"I like to live a simple life. I originate from the Philippines and I am a qualified accountant and I would like to work overseas as part of my career and I just didn't want to be tied down to a house," Gail said.

"The apartment provided me with real flexibility and I knew that when I reached the stage where I was getting married and looking to start a family I could expand then with the type of home we chose.

"I am now working in Fremantle, but even still being so close via car and train plus the convenience of being in the City, has really confirmed that I did make the right choice for me."
