What are apartment residents worth?

For a long time WAAA has been advocating that the majority of apartment residents are professionals, manager and retirees and hence an influx of residents into apartments is in fact a good thing for the local economy. With no data though to back us up - we decided that this was the perfect topic for our next survey! We want to know which shops, cafes and restaurants you visit locally ie walk to, and then your $ spend so that we can model this data for Local Councils and State Government. Smart park gets WAAA thumbs up

Four years ago WAAA Director Samantha Reece launched the City of Canning's City Centre Vision to an audience of 100 property experts, and when she returned two weeks ago, it was with great pleasure to see the Council's vision coming to fruition. As part of the City's greening focus, the Council recently transformed a compensating basin into an environmental wetlands, a first for Australia and the reason for Samantha's visit. The $3.1 million project, which is known as a Smart Park, comes complete with a new augmented reality (AR) app, Smart Canning, so that visitors can interact with the park as a scientist, play games and learn about stormwater all while using a mobile device in the park.
